MEET CAROLINE

Hi there!
I'm Caroline, a certified Global Caravan Tribal Bellydance® teacher, completing training with Global Caravan (GC)
creator Paulette Rees-Denis and her dedicated Master teachers.
I have been dancing this amazing style since 2009 and provide tuition in person & online.
Passionate about representing this dance style authentically and
delivering high quality tuition to all levels of dancers,
Global Caravan Tribal Bellydance has become so much
'more than dance' in my life.
It has really helped me to reconnect with my dancer's yearnings and given me the opportunity to enjoy and pursue dance irrespective of age and stage in life.
The connections I have made with people through GC dance tribes near and far, are an amazing bonus too!
This connection and passion is WHY I teach. I want others to experience the JOY that GC dance brings and enjoy classes that are warm, welcoming, supportive and most importantly fun!
I am also a comprehensively trained Pilates instructor* and my dance classes have particular emphasis on body awareness & posture, technique and using movement in a way that is safe, functional and above all,
enjoyable for ALL dancing bodies!
I continue to attend regular dance workshops, classes and additional certified training, keeping my dance teaching up to date and inspired, and my teaching approach vibrant and fresh.
I invite YOU to come and try a class or workshop
at Birdwing Tribal Bellydance
and discover the joy of this very special dance for yourself...

What Is Global Caravan Tribal Bellydance?
Influenced by traditional dances from places such as the Middle East, Africa, India, Eastern Europe, Turkey, Spain and beyond, Global Caravan Tribal Bellydance® is an exciting modern interpretation of older forms of bellydance using delicious moves and cues accompanied by inspiring music and fabulous costuming!
Created by dancer and innovator Paulette Rees-Denis,
Global Caravan Tribal bellydance® is a modern, contemporary form of Bellydance. It takes its influence from traditional and folkloric dances from around the world and emerged in the 1980s in the United States. It is an improvised dance with a structured format. Usually danced in a group (or Tribe!) the dancers use a lead and follow approach with a range of moves, cues and formations which can then be put together into many different combinations- the possibilities are endless!
Sharing a familiar dance 'language' that is recognised by all Global Caravan® trained dancers, wherever they live and dance, means we can literally dance around the world together!
